After returning home from school, Tripp is pleased to find that his mom has brought him a surprise. As he indulges in this snack and colors to unwind, he’s stunned to discover that a hippopotamus cookie comes to life. Tamus, the cookie, is pleased to make a new friend and encourages Tripp to join him for an adventure. These boards show us their first journey together and unlikely route to Tall Pines.

Tripp, eager to find his place in the complex social structure of elementary school is determined to create the perfect paper airplane. He’s the only one in class that can’t seem to master his design. Encouragement from his mom falls flat, as Tripp is relentless in his pursuit of a successful flight. Hopefully, Tripp can at least make the bus.
Home, sweet home. In this case, home is a bakery for a hippo cookie that we'll come to know as, Tamus. We get a glimpse into the very kitchen that he was created before meeting Tripp.
